Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven ServiceNow Product Owner with specialized expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) modules. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the strategy, roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement of these ServiceNow capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, asset lifecycle optimization, and cost and risk management objectives.
• Strategic Planning & Roadmap Ownership
• Collaborate with Technology Executive leadership, Enterprise Architecture, ITAM, Service Mgmt, Finance, Procurement, and Security stakeholders to understand business, compliance, and technology objectives.
• Define and maintain a multi-module roadmap for HAM, SAM and EA
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, IT operational standards, IT financial strategies, and organizational transformation initiatives.
• Module Configuration & Solution Design
• Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of:
HAM Pro: asset intake, lifecycle states, contracts, inventory, refresh cycles
SAM Pro: software normalization, entitlement management, compliance, optimization
EA: application lifecycle, technology standards, business capabilities, roadmaps
• Oversee integrations with discovery tools, CMDB, procurement systems, and financial platforms.
• Evaluate and adopt new ServiceNow releases and features to enhance governance, visibility, and automation.
• User Story Definition & Backlog Prioritization
• Partner with architecture, asset, licensing, and finance teams to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria across HAM, SAM, and EA use cases.
• Prioritize backlog items based on business value, compliance risk, cost savings, architectural alignment, and technical debt reduction.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Act as a bridge between: Technical teams (ServiceNow developers, architects) and Business stakeholders.
• Ensure shared understanding of asset data accuracy, license compliance, and architecture decisions.
• Promote standardized processes and data governance across modules.
• Change Management & Adoption
• Drive change management strategies for HAM, SAM, and EA process adoption.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop training materials, user guides, and architectural standards documentation.
• Support enablement of teams using EA insights for decision-making and investment planning.
• Release Planning & Execution
• Plan and manage releases covering HAM, SAM, and EA enhancements.
• Coordinate with development, testing, and deployment teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks during implementation.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Define UAT strategies and acceptance criteria for asset, license, and architecture use cases.
• Coordinate UAT activities with business and architecture stakeholders.
• Incorporate feedback to ensure solutions meet compliance, usability, and reporting expectations.
• Continuous Improvement & Optimization
• Identify opportunities to reduce software spend and compliance exposure (SAM), Improve asset lifecycle visibility and utilization (HAM) and Strengthen technology rationalization and investment decisions (EA)
• Use KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure success and drive ongoing improvements.
• Stay current on ServiceNow best practices, asset management trends, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Communicate roadmaps, release updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Provide transparency into compliance posture, asset health, and architecture alignment.
• Address concerns and ensure continual alignment across business and IT.
• Vendor & Partner Management
• Manage relationships with ServiceNow and implementation partners.
• Track platform updates, module maturity, and licensing implications.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party integrations or content packs to extend HAM, SAM, and EA capabilities.
Technical Expertise
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience Required
• 10-14 years of total ServiceNow experience with 4 + years of experience as Product Owner/Function consultant in HAM, SAM & EA modules
• Proficiency in Java Script, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script includes and UI Policies.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow configuration, scripting, integrations (REST, SOAP APIs), and automation
• Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL processes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in HAM/SAM/EA
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience securing large-scale ServiceNow implementations in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of HRSD, CMDB and ServiceNow AI capabilities and other modules

Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week.
