Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: The Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (eGRC) Technology team is a crucial part of the Global Risk and Treasury Technology group. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a multi-year transformation initiative and transition it to a Business-As-Usual state. We are looking for a Developer/Engineer to join the team.

• Project: eGRC Marquis project

• We are seeking someone to play a critical hands-on role in building out eGRC capabilities in ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) platform.

• The successful candidate will design, build, configure, and enhance IRM capabilities and help migrate existing enterprise issues, risk & control processes into ServiceNow IRM—while establishing a scalable, automated, and well governed risk management framework.

• This is a high visibility role with significant opportunity to influence enterprise-wide adoption of modern IRM capabilities.

Typical Day in Role:

• ServiceNow IRM Development, Configuration & Customization:

o Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow IRM module components,

• Develop client side and server side scripts:

o Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, ACLs, Flows/Workflows.

o Implement ServiceNow in a way that maintains a strong governance to leverage out-of-the-box, and minimizing configuration and customization.

o Configure IRM data models, entity classes, metadata structures, and supporting tables aligned to the target-state GRC framework.

• IRM Framework Enablement & Process Migration:

o Build and deploy capabilities that translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable IRM processes.

o Support migration of existing risk & control processes into IRM

o Build automation and workflow logic to support target state operating model designs.

• Integration & Data Engineering:

o Develop integrations between ServiceNow IRM and other risk/compliance systems (e.g., OpenPages, data hubs, operational risk and audit tools)

o Build reusable integration components, ensuring secure and reliable data flow.

o Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance.

• Quality Engineering, Testing & Release Management:

o Implement robust testing practices with top-of-mind automated testing.

o Ensure all IRM solutions follow development best practices, platform governance standards with code reviews, code scans and manages the code repositories.

o Support release planning, code migration, documentation, and operational readiness activities.

• Collaboration, Design Sessions & Stakeholder Engagement:

o Work closely with Product Owners, Technical BAs, Risk SMEs, Architects, and Platform Engineering teams.

o Provide input to IRM solution design decisions and platform strategy.

o Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and training of technical and business users.

• Technical Lead and People Manager:

o Lead the oversight of the ServiceNow IRM module in a shared instance with other modules.

o Coordinate and manage code releases, change management, deployments, environments and overall system health, stability and security.

o Provide regular updates to manager, team and partners on project/system status, design, achievements and challenges.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 6+ years overall IT development and engineering experience with significant experience in architecting, designing, building, integrating, migrating and supporting end-to-end system and processes.

• 4+ years hands on ServiceNow development experience, including advanced troubleshooting and module configuration and customization.

• Strong hands-on experience with: JavaScript (6+ years), REST/SOAP API integrations, using Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, UI actions, Flow Designer, and Workflow Editor

• Experience with system design, integration methodologies, and secure development practices.

• ServiceNow Advanced certifications in administration, implementation, development, architecture and GRC (CSA, CAD, CIS-RC, CTA, ArchX) – CSA, CAD are must have and CIS-RC, CTA, ArchX nice to have.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience in the ServiceNow IRM module.

• Previous experience with large scale ServiceNow IRM module or similar implementation (highly preferred) or enterprise operating model design.

• Experience in Financial Services, Risk, Compliance, or Internal Audit environments.

• Understanding of GRC frameworks, GRC / Issues Management, Risk & Controls concepts and operational risk processes.

• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and taxonomy models.

• Experience with Agile/iterative SDLC practices.

• ITIL Foundation certification or training.

• Experience with AI in ServiceNow or developing with AI.

Soft Skills Required:

• Strong communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex situations.

• Strong presentation skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

• ServiceNow Advanced certifications in administration, implementation, development, architecture and GRC (CSA, CAD, CIS-RC, CTA, ArchX) – CSA, CAD are must have and CIS-RC, CTA, ArchX nice to have.

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• Strong ServiceNow Developer with solutions architect hands-on migration experience, has worked on new build expansions, implementations; recent experience with SN IRM Module; able to meet tight deadlines and work with minimal hand holding in a high pressu.re and complex environment; is adaptable to change

• If candidate has all must haves and nice to haves and is in GTA and can come in to office for co-location and team collaboration will be an asset.

Candidate Review & Selection – Interview Process:

• 1-2 rounds – Video and In Person – 1 hour with HM and senior managers and ServiceNow internal stakeholder – includes technical testing with scenario based technical questions
