SPM Senior Business Consulting Specialist

Your mission
As an SPM Senior Business Consulting Specialist, you help organizations translate strategy into execution by designing, implementing, and maturing Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities enabled by the ServiceNow platform.

You act as a trusted advisor for executives, PMOs, and transformation leaders, guiding them on portfolio governance, prioritization, investment decision-making, and value realization. In addition, you contribute to the growth of Plat4mation’s SPM capability by shaping offerings, supporting pre-sales, and sharing expertise internally.

What you’ll do
Strategic advisory & consulting
• Advise customers on establishing and maturing Strategic Portfolio Management capabilities aligned with business strategy
• Design portfolio governance models, including demand intake, prioritization, funding, and value realization
• Support executives and portfolio boards with decision-making by translating strategy into actionable portfolio insights
• Define portfolio KPIs, value metrics, and reporting structures to improve transparency and control
• Conduct maturity assessments and identify improvement opportunities across people, process, governance, data, and technology
Client engagement & workshops
• Lead and facilitate workshops on strategic planning, value-driven prioritization, portfolio roadmapping, and delivery governance
• Act as a trusted partner for senior stakeholders, aligning strategic ambition with execution realities
• Translate complex organizational challenges into pragmatic, actionable solutions
ServiceNow‑enabled SPM
• Guide customers on how SPM best practices can be enabled using ServiceNow SPM
• Translate portfolio processes and operating-model requirements into functional platform needs
• Work closely with ServiceNow architects and technical consultants to ensure solutions reflect the intended operating model
• Advise on alignment between SPM and related domains such as ITSM, ITAM, Agile delivery, and financial processes
Capability building & growth
• Support pre-sales and RfP activities, including solution shaping and client presentations
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SPM consulting offerings, frameworks, and accelerators
• Share thought leadership and lessons learned from client engagements
• Provide coaching and internal training to strengthen Plat4mation’s SPM expertise
• Contribute to innovation initiatives within the SPM capability

What you bring
Required
• 5+ years of experience in consulting, portfolio management, program/project management, or large enterprise IT environments
• Strong understanding of portfolio, program, and project management principles
• Proven experience advising senior stakeholders, PMOs, and transformation offices
• Experience translating business strategy and requirements into governance models and execution roadmaps
• Solid understanding of governance frameworks (e.g. ITIL, PMI standards)
• Experience with or strong affinity for ServiceNow SPM or comparable PPM/SPM tooling
• Excellent advisory, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
• Fluency in English; Dutch, French, or German is a strong plus
Preferred
• Experience with Lean Portfolio Management, SAFe, Agile, or hybrid delivery models
• Hands-on exposure to ServiceNow (designing, configuring, or implementing solutions)
• Affinity with financial processes such as cost modeling, budgeting, or cross-charging
• Background in pre-sales or proposal development
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Prince2, PMP, MSP, MoP, Agile)
