Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CMDB Architect with strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the CMDB strategy, designing data models, establishing governance, and ensuring data quality and integrity across the organization. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional IT teams to align CMDB with enterprise service management processes.

️ Key Responsibilities

Define and implement the CMDB strategy, governance model, and data management framework

Design and maintain CMDB data models, including CI classes, relationships, and hierarchy aligned with ITIL best practices

Establish naming conventions, CI standards, and attribute definitions

Map relationships between applications, infrastructure, and business services

Lead CMDB population through discovery tools, integrations, and reconciliation processes

Ensure alignment with Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, and Service Management processes

Monitor and maintain CMDB health, including data quality, completeness, and compliance

Identify and remediate data inconsistencies, discovery issues, and missing CI relationships

Generate reports and dashboards for CMDB performance and compliance metrics

Collaborate with ITSM, ITOM, and Asset Management teams for continuous improvement

Provide training, guidance, and best practices to stakeholders

Ensure data security, integrity, and system performance

Required Skills & Qualifications

5–10 years of overall IT experience with 3+ years in CMDB / ServiceNow CMDB

Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping

Deep understanding of ITIL / ITSM processes

Experience with CSDM (Common Service Data Model)

Expertise in CI lifecycle management and relationship mapping

Experience in CMDB governance, data modeling, and architecture design

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-CMDB, or equivalent)

ITIL Certification

Experience in large-scale CMDB implementation or transformation projects

Knowledge of integration tools and automation
