Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager I the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS1) is responsible for solution development, process automation, maintenance, and support of the DIR enterprise wide ServiceNow cloud-based platform including IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, Business Operations Management, Human Resources Service Delivery, Public Sector Digital Services and other ServiceNow applications that support the internal operations of the department.

The ITS1 serves as part of a team of senior developers on medium to large-scale projects. This position collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) and team members to utilize the ServiceNow platform to automate service management workflows, develop, test and deploy applications for new business service offerings, configure system to discover/monitor/secure physical and virtual assets across DIR’s enterprise infrastructure and perform regular platform patching and upgrades necessary to maintain a secure and supportable system.

The incumbent will work in a temperature-controlled office environment with an assigned cubicle. Access to the department suite will require a special badge. DIR is currently in a hybrid telework schedule and Incumbent will be required to work on site two days (or based department policies) a week.

The incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and should establish good working relationships with others and ready to learning new technologies.

DIR does not participate in E-Verify.

The incumbent must complete assigned tasks on time.

Special Requirements

• Describe your experience working with the ServiceNow platform as a developer and/or administrator. Provide specific examples that demonstrate both the breadth and depth of your experience. Include ServiceNow applications you have worked on (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, PSDS) and your level of involvement .
• Describe a ServiceNow implementation or support scenario where you had to collaborate with other developers, administrators, or stakeholders to resolve a technical issue or deliver a solution. What was your role, and how did you ensure effective collaboration?
