We’re recruiting for a Technical Business Systems Analyst with experience in ServiceNow to join a $1.5B+ global technology leader in internet infrastructure and cybersecurity. This position is based in Reston, Virginia and follows a hybrid schedule, requiring two days per week onsite (typically Wednesday and Thursday). Candidates must currently live within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the Reston area prior to starting.
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status is required. Sponsorship is not available.
This is a Business Analyst–first role, not a hands-on developer position. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, business partners, and cross-functional teams to map processes, troubleshoot issues, and deliver scalable solutions in the ServiceNow platform. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management are essential.
The company offers a base salary around $145K–$150K, a 15% target bonus, and approximately $30K in RSUs, plus a comprehensive benefits package including stock options and an employee stock purchase plan.
What You’ll Do
• Serve as the key liaison between business and technical teams to enhance and optimize the ServiceNow platform (primarily Asset Management).
• Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, testing, and deployment of system enhancements.
• Work cross-functionally with developers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to integrate SaaS and COTS solutions.
• Support both a greenfield ServiceNow implementation and a customized legacy instance, contributing to modernization efforts.
• Apply analytical and architectural thinking to ensure scalable, compliant, and secure systems.
• Manage discovery and integration infrastructure (ServiceNow, UCMDB, Flexera) to maintain accuracy and performance.
• Document requirements, test cases, and solutions clearly for business and leadership teams.
What You’ll Bring
• 8+ years of IT experience (or 6+ with a master’s) with a strong background in ServiceNow as a Business Analyst.
• Hands-on experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), or IT Asset Management (ITAM) across both on-prem and SaaS environments; exposure to ITOM preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to gather requirements, explain solutions, and bridge technical and business needs.
• Prior work in a SOX-regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow configuration (fields, list views, data policies), RESTful APIs, and Linux scripting a plus.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum using Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint.
• Knowledge of virtualization or containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) beneficial.
• ServiceNow Administrator certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Join a mission-focused organization known for innovation, collaboration, and social responsibility—where you’ll help build a stronger, more secure internet while gaining hands-on experience in one of the most exciting greenfield ServiceNow implementations in the industry.
