ServiceNow SAM Specialist

Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Location: Remote or On-Site (Saskatchewan)

SGI is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to lead the implementation, configuration, and deployment of the ServiceNow SAM module. The engagement will run for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the setup, integration, and deployment of the ServiceNow SAM module.
• Configure vendor-specific modules (Microsoft, RedHat, Oracle, etc.) and integrate discovery tools like SCCM and Intune.
• Develop workflows, dashboards, and automated license management processes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams for long-term support.
• Ensure alignment with ITAM/SAM best practices and compliance requirements.
Required Experience & Skills:
• Proven track record in end-to-end ServiceNow SAM implementation.
• Strong knowledge of IT Asset & Software Asset Management principles.
• Experience with SaaS license management, CMDB integration, and license reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, SML, NDS, and integrations.
• ServiceNow certification preferred.
Deliverables:
• Fully configured and operational SAM module integrated with CMDB and discovery tools.
• Automated license workflows and compliance reporting.
• Training documentation and knowledge transition for internal ownership.
