Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer / Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical expertise, architectural vision, and the ability to lead development teams while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the overall architecture, design, and development of ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules.
• Act as the technical authority for ServiceNow platform implementation, customization, and optimization.
• Design scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices and organizational standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ServiceNow developers and administrators.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and project managers to gather and refine requirements.
• Lead and review development activities including scripting, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client/server scripts.
• Ensure platform security, performance, and compliance with enterprise governance standards.
• Architect and implement integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and APIs.
• Manage upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements with minimal business disruption.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and quality assurance practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Support ServiceNow roadmap planning, platform strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational guides.

Required Qualifications:
• 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development.
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Lead Developer or Architect in large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in core ServiceNow modules such as:

ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)

CMDB and CSDM

ITOM or ITAM (preferred but not mandatory)
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow scripting:

JavaScript

Glide API

Business Rules

Script Includes

Client Scripts

UI Policies and UI Actions
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, security, and ACLs.
• Experience designing and implementing complex workflows and Flow Designer solutions.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and MID Server.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow upgrade strategy and platform lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:
• ServiceNow certifications such as:

Certified System Administrator (CSA)

Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Certified Implementation Specialist

Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA
• Experience with additional ServiceNow modules:

HRSD

SecOps

GRC

Custom application development
• Knowledge of CMDB best practices and CSDM framework implementation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow.
• Experience with Performance Analytics and ServiceNow reporting.
• Prior experience working with large-scale enterprise or government clients is a plus.
