Job Description & Summary

You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.

Our Information Technology Development team helps develop and supports internal information technology systems and applications for use by all staff levels. You’ll help our team develop programmes and applications that cater to PwC’s strategic technology needs using your knowledge of technical domains of application.

A ServiceNow developer is responsible for creating and maintaining the ServiceNow workflows for PwC Africa, which supports IT service management to automate business processes. The role involves designing, configuring, developing, troubleshooting and implementing baseline and custom workflows to enhance internal business processes.

• Demonstrate an understanding of ServiceNow best practices and how ITIL processes can be successfully implemented in the tool
• Understand business requirements in order to develop high-quality solutions
• Develop workflows to automate and improve business processes
• Solve complex problems in an agile environment
• Manage development tasks and report status of those tasks to management
• Debug and fix technical problems
• Manage and execute formalised testing as part of the delivery cycle
• Communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in ServiceNow development
• Work with product manager to identify, document and evaluate product requirements and roadmaps

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary
• ServiceNow certification desirable

• A minimum of 1 years of working experience with ServiceNow modules
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies is desirable

• Basic level understanding of ServiceNow ITSM processes and its capabilities
• Ability to understand and create workflows and subflows
• Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes and build this into the design
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
