Title: ServiceNow Designer

Term: Contract

Location: Hybrid

Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Canadian Reliability Security Clearance.

The ServiceNow Designer will help create user-friendly digital experiences that improve employee access to relevant information, boosting productivity and satisfaction. They will support the redesign of the internal communications site using ServiceNow Employee Center Pro, working closely with stakeholders. The role focuses on designing streamlined, intuitive experiences using mostly out-of-the-box features. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in service and UX design, user research, testing, and UX writing.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design & Implementation: Led redesign of SharePoint site to ServiceNow Employee Center Pro, ensuring user-centered and technically feasible solutions.
• User Research: Conducted research to identify user needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Requirements Gathering: Worked with Product Owners/BAs to define features, user stories, and acceptance criteria; facilitated workshops and collaborated with developers for feasible, user-friendly designs.
• Prototyping & Testing: Created wireframes and prototypes; conducted usability testing to refine designs.
• UX Writing: Wrote clear, intuitive content using plain language aligned with ServiceNow capabilities.
• Inclusive Design: Ensured accessibility (WCAG 2.2, ACA compliance) by working with accessibility experts.
• User Flows: Improved Salesforce user flows to enhance experiences for customers, partners, and staff.
• Collaboration: Partnered with stakeholders to align design with business goals and technical limits.
• Design Systems: Used ServiceNow Horizon and custom EDC systems for consistent, intuitive interfaces.
• Design Excellence: Collaborated with UX peers to maintain high-quality, consistent design standards; kept up with design trends and accessibility best practices.
• Agility: Worked in agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), managing tasks via Azure DevOps or Planview.

Top Skills Required:
• Experience designer having worked with ServiceNow Employee Centre Pro and SNOW’s design system
• Strong cross-functional experience across user experience design, and service design with strong skills in FIGMA
• Very good understanding of information architecture

Other Skills Required:
• Very strong communication skills and ability to articulate the importance and value of human-centered design; Experience with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and inclusive design principles; strong understanding of design thinking frameworks

Assets:
• Ability to build prototypes using figma
• Bilingual in English and French
