Role Overview:

Seeking a hands-on ServiceNow ITAM Subject Matter Expert to own end-to-end Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) within a large regulated financial enterprise. This role is not administrative—requires strong ownership, governance mindset, and ability to challenge and correct processes to ensure audit-ready, defensible asset data.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own full hardware lifecycle: procurement to retirement (HAM Pro)
• Maintain accurate CMDB, reconcile Discovery data, eliminate ghost/orphan assets
• Lead physical audits and ensure PO-to-asset traceability
• Manage SAM Pro: entitlements, normalization, reconciliation, license optimization
• Handle major publisher compliance (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, Adobe)
• Support vendor audit defense and identify license risk/cost exposure
• Ensure tight HAM-SAM integration (disposal triggers, license reclaim, CMDB integrity)
• Enforce data governance and push back on non-compliant processes

Required Skills:
• 5+ years ITAM (HAM + SAM) experience
• 3+ years ServiceNow HAM Pro & SAM Pro (production)
• Strong CMDB, Discovery, and IRE knowledge
• Experience with enterprise software licensing models
• Audit or vendor compliance experience
• ServiceNow CIS-ITAM (or equivalent experience)

Preferred:
• IAITAM CAMP/CITAM
• ServiceNow ITOM experience
• JavaScript/GlideScript
• Regulated industry experience (financial/healthcare/federal)
