POSITION SUMMARY

Joining the ServiceNow application team, this Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the CMDB, ensuring accurate tracking and mapping of IT assets and services. This role requires a strong understanding of ITIL best practices and data modeling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CMDB Design and Architecture:
• Develop and maintain the overall architecture and design of the CMDB.
• Define data model, relationships, and data flow between CI (Configuration Item) types.

Implementation and Integration:
• Lead the implementation of CMDB solutions and integrate with other data sources and processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure accurate data ingestion from various sources.

Data Governance:
• Establish data governance frameworks to maintain data quality and integrity.
• Define processes for CI lifecycle management, including discovery, updates, and decommissioning.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to CMDB architecture and processes.
• Develop reports and dashboards to provide insights into CI relationships and status.

Collaboration and Training:
• Work closely with stakeholders across IT and business units to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
• Provide training and support to teams on CMDB usage and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor and analyze CMDB performance and data accuracy, recommending improvements as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to CMDB and IT asset management.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years proven experience in design and implementation efforts within ServiceNow or other core data systems such as Active Directory, Azure, DBs.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
• Proficient in data modeling and management, with experience in relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience with the following ServiceNow Modules a plus: SPM, MCO, CSM, ITSM, WSD, HRSD, ITOM Visibility, Discovery.
