Location: San Antonio, Texas (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Business Analyst with expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and Event Management to support enterprise IT operations and service management initiatives. This role will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow capabilities, with a focus on data integrity, platform integrations, and event-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business and technical requirements related to ServiceNow modules.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to align on CMDB and Event Management strategies.
• Analyze and support CMDB data model design, governance, and optimization.
• Ensure data integrity, normalization, and reconciliation across configuration items (CIs).
• Work closely with technical teams to enhance ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Drive requirements and enhancements for ServiceNow Event Management.
• Support design and implementation of event correlation rules, alert suppression, and noise reduction strategies.
• Define and document requirements for ServiceNow integrations with external tools and platforms.
• Align ServiceNow capabilities with ITIL best practices.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in ServiceNow environments.

Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with CMDB (design, governance, data modeling), Discovery and/or Service Mapping, and Event Management and alert correlation. Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, third-party tools) is also required.

Knowledge: A solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Event Management) is necessary. The role requires the ability to bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS-ITOM, or related).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with AIOps, monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds), or observability platforms.
• Exposure to data governance and enterprise architecture frameworks.
