This individual will serve as the principal technical authority responsible for defining the architectural roadmap and ensuring the technical integrity, scalability, and performance of large-scale ServiceNow enterprise solutions. This strategic role demands a blend of deep technical mastery (specifically across ITSM, ITOM, and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)) and strong leadership ability to guide development teams and align platform capabilities directly with core business objectives, maximizing organizational efficiency and reducing operational friction across multiple client engagements.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead the comprehensive end-to-end design and implementation of highly complex ServiceNow solutions spanning core domains including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Business Management (ITBM), and Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD).
– Define the architectural vision, technical standards, and implementation roadmap in close partnership with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional technical teams.
– Spearhead the design and engineering of robust, secure integrations between the ServiceNow platform and external enterprise systems (e.g., identity providers, ERPs, cloud services) utilizing advanced protocols like REST, SOAP, and MID Server technology.
– Establish and govern technical standards, best practices, data integrity frameworks (specifically CMDB and CSDM alignment), and platform security protocols across all environments.
– Provide expert technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to development teams, overseeing code reviews, promoting high-quality scripting standards (JavaScript/Glide API), and ensuring technical debt minimization.
– Proactively identify opportunities for platform optimization, performance tuning, system enhancements, and effective cost management within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
– Direct efforts related to major platform upgrades, patching, and the continuous adoption of new ServiceNow features and releases with minimal impact on production environments.
• QUALIFICATIONS
– Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions, with at least 3 years explicitly functioning in a Lead Architect or dedicated Solution Architect capacity.
– Current expertise in ServiceNow architecture, design, and configuration across multiple modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
– Demonstrated proficiency in implementing scalable solutions that adhere strictly to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework for maximum platform alignment and future readiness.
– Extensive practical experience designing and managing complex integrations utilizing contemporary methods (REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, MID Server).
– In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow scripting capabilities (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, UI Actions) and platform governance best practices (Update Sets, version control, deployment pipelines).
– Strong understanding and proven practical application of ITIL frameworks, specifically around Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management processes.
– ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
– Must be geographically situated within a US Mountain Standard Time (MST) or Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone to facilitate effective team collaboration.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
– Experience with advanced ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
– Proven familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies and tools tailored for ServiceNow deployment pipelines.
– Experience integrating ServiceNow with major public cloud platforms (e.g., leading hyperscalers).
– ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) credentials.
– Familiarity with automation tools, frameworks, and advanced features such as Flow Designer and Virtual Agent implementation.
