Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

A growing enterprise organization is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join its technology team during a major platform modernization initiative. This role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of ServiceNow across the business, working on high-impact projects that improve operational efficiency, automation, and service delivery.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical subject matter expert, contributing to platform architecture, development standards, and solution delivery while collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
• Build and enhance workflows, integrations, and automation capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and support production environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and solution designs.
• Support platform governance, security, and compliance initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and platform optimization.

Required Experience
• Extensive experience developing solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow application development, scripting, and workflow automation.
• Experience working with enterprise modules such as IT Service Management, Operations Management, Customer Service Management, Human Resources, or similar solutions.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and web technologies.
• Experience developing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
• ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Exposure to platform governance, architecture, and release management.
• Experience mentoring developers and supporting technical growth within a team.
