Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Application Developer
Pay Rate: $99.00 – $102.00 per hour (Determined by experience)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
Employment Type: W2 Contract, 6 Month Contract with possibility of extensions
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered
Role Overview:
BEPC is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support our client by designing, developing, and enhancing applications on the ServiceNow platform. This role will serve as a senior technical contributor, working closely with architects, platform owners, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications using scoped applications and platform features.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow modules using Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer.
• Develop server-side and client-side logic using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions follow best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Perform unit testing, support UAT, and resolve defects.
• Support platform upgrades, patching, and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow platform issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including design and configuration details.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, APIs).
• 2+ years of experience developing scoped applications using ServiceNow Studio.
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow data model, security model, and access controls.
• Experience working with modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HR, or custom applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills:
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS – Integration or related).
• Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results efficiently.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Passion for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
