K2 has an existing Greenfield ServiceNow project going on and need a ServiceNow TPM to help lead the project. This would be a Contract to Hire opportunity to join our ServiceNow Practice!

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven ServiceNow Technical Project Manager to lead, plan, and execute complex ServiceNow implementation and development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of the ServiceNow platform, deep project management expertise (especially within an Agile/Scrum framework), and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of ServiceNow solutions that meet business objectives and drive digital transformation.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Own and drive the end-to-end delivery of large-scale ServiceNow projects across various modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps).
Planning & Execution: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, managing all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including executive sponsors, product owners, technical teams, and vendors.
Risk Management: Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating critical concerns appropriately.
Team Oversight: Lead and mentor project team members, including ServiceNow developers, architects, and business analysts, ensuring accountability and adherence to project goals.
Methodology: Utilize Agile and Scrum methodologies effectively, organizing and facilitating Scrum ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables adhere to established quality standards, technical best practices, and the long-term architectural roadmap of the ServiceNow platform.

 

Required Technical Skills and Experience (Hard Requirements)

Experience: Ideally 10 years of professional experience in IT and Project Management, with ideally 6 years dedicated to managing ServiceNow implementation projects.
Platform Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of the ServiceNow platform architecture and key modules (e.g., ITSM, ITBM/SPM, CMDB, etc.).
Methodology Certification: Proven experience utilizing Agile/Scrum; PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.

ServiceNow Certifications: Certified System Administrator (CSA) is mandatory. Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least one module (e.g., ITSM, ITOM) is highly desirable.
Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical specifications, integration requirements, and architectural design principles specific to ServiceNow development.
Tool Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency with Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management) and reporting tools.
Budget Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million dollar project budgets and accurately forecast resource needs.

Executive Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and project statuses clearly and concisely to non-technical executive stakeholders.
Conflict Resolution: Proven track record of effectively mediating conflict, negotiating resources, and managing expectations among competing stakeholders.
Active Listening: High degree of proficiency in active listening to accurately capture business requirements and translate them into actionable project tasks.
Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills for leading workshops, steering committees, and training sessions.
Adaptability: High degree of flexibility and adaptability to manage scope changes, shifting priorities, and ambiguity inherent in large technology transformation projects.

Education Requirement

Minimum: BA/BS Computer Science or Business Management
Preferred: MBA
