Plat4mation’s German entity is rapidly expanding in order to keep up with market demand. Therefore we are looking to hire a Business Unit Lead, spearheading our German delivery teams. What will you do?

You will be responsible for the Business Unit “Delivery Germany” in the DACH (aka “Central”) entity of Plat4mation. The BU Delivery Germany consists of multiple delivery teams, each spearheaded by a Team Lead. While the Team Leads are responsible for managing a team of professionals with a particular role dedicated to one or a few client accounts, the Business United Lead is responsible for making sure that all delivery teams are operating according to the company´s objectives, quality delivery standards, and are staffed effectively and efficiently.

As an organizational leader in Plat4mation you actively help in developing and implementing Plat4mation wide (delivery) standards, also supporting the overall company. We expect from our leaders to be on top of what is happening and actively stay involved in our core business. You lead by example, are a role model for our Core Values and are not hesitant to step in where needed. You will have an active role in supporting and collaborate with sales to find the right approach to the German market; e.g. you will support in creating the right strategies and product offerings. You will report into DACH leadership and your direct reports are the country’s team leads.

Area of Accountability

In your role as the Business Unit Lead you are accountable for:

Delivery & Operations
• Delivery management at the customers of the Business Unit (ensuring delivery teams stay within time, scope, and budget, while providing them with training, tools, and way of workings to do so)
• Prevent, solve and de-escalate issues in delivery
• Definition and execution of tactical- and operational policies within the BU
• Manage, guide and control team members

Scheduling & Chargeability
• Scheduling of projects, opportunities and internal tasks linked to the team
• Utilization of Team members (billable vs non-billable)
• Aligning demand and supply

Recruiting & Onboarding
• Recruiting & onboarding new team members
• On- and offboarding of team members (Employer, Project or Role related)

Objectives & KPI’s
• Define, Manage and Control the Key Performance Indicators as well as making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Realization of operational, financial and personal development goals within the team
• Governance on service quality delivered within the team that meets short and long term organizational and market goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationship with clients, ensuring they are satisfied with the service provided and are likely to continue using the services in the future.

Team & Knowledge Building
• Overseeing multiple teams and Team Leads (directly managing Team Leads)
• Drive the employee performance cycle for team members
• Improve quality on professional behavior & deliverables
• Team and employee engagement & fun (Events)
• Fostering knowledge sharing
• Stimulate positive working environment

We ask
• 5+ years of experience with managing (delivery) teams
• Experience in consulting services companies
• Experience in project or program management (experience with implementing ServiceNow is a big plus)
• Experience with working with KPI’s, project finance and professional services
• Ability to develop and execute business strategies, including market analysis, risk assessment and budgeting
• Fluent in English; fluency in German is a huge plus
• You are highly analytical, emphatic, and have excellent communication skills
