Business Analyst – ServiceNow (S2P)

Role: ServiceNow Source-to-Pay (S2P) Business Analyst

Location: Raritan, NJ Onsite / Hybrid

Role Summary

The ServiceNow S2P Business Analyst will act as a functional SME for Source-to-Pay processes, partnering with procurement, finance, and IT stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow S2P solutions. The role focuses on translating business requirements into scalable ServiceNow configurations and integrations with ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
• Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and AP teams to understand end-to-end Source-to-Pay processes
• Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and process walkthroughs
• Document business requirements (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), and user stories

ServiceNow S2P Functional Expertise
• Analyse and configure ServiceNow Procurement and S2P modules, including:
• Source Requests
• Purchase Requisitions & Approvals
• Purchase Orders
• Vendor onboarding and lifecycle
• Contract and catalog alignment
• Define approval workflows, SLAs, and business rules
• Support catalog design, item workflows, and fulfilment automation

Process Improvement & Optimization
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing S2P processes
• Recommend automation, standardization, and best practices using ServiceNow
• Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, and procurement policies

Integrations & Data Flow
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations with SAP, Oracle, Workday, Coupa, Ariba, or other ERP/procurement tools
• Define data mappings, inbound/outbound interfaces, and reconciliation processes
• Validate integration scenarios during SIT and UAT

Testing & Deployment
• Create test scenarios, UAT scripts, and acceptance criteria
• Support UAT execution, defect triage, and resolution
• Assist with go-live readiness, training materials, and hyper care support

Governance & Documentation
• Maintain process documentation and knowledge articles
• Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices and platform governance
• Support continuous improvement and roadmap planning

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills
• Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Procurement / S2P
• Solid understanding of Procurement, Finance, AP, and Vendor Management
• Experience with workflow approvals, catalog management, and automation

Technical & Functional Skills
• ServiceNow platform fundamentals (tables, workflows, flows, UI policies)
• Experience working with ERP integrations (SAP preferred)
• Familiarity with Integration Hub, REST/SOAP concepts
• Strong documentation and analytical skills

Soft Skills
• Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to translate business needs into functional solutions
• Strong problem-solving and process-thinking mindset

Preferred Qualifications
• ServiceNow CSA certification (mandatory or preferred)
• CIS Procurement / ITBM / SPM (nice to have)
• Experience in global procurement implementations
• Exposure to IT Financial Management (ITFM) or SPM Financials
