ServiceNow ITOM & CMDB

As a ServiceNow Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions, particularly focusing on CMDB and Discovery modules. Your expertise will ensure accurate infrastructure visibility and CMDB data integrity throughout the enterprise environment.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
– Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions, such as Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
– Configure and manage Discovery schedules, credentials, IP ranges, and MID Servers for infrastructure discovery.
– Develop and update Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors to identify infrastructure components effectively.
– Maintain CMDB data accuracy and integrity through identification and reconciliation rules (IRE) and CMDB governance practices.
– Create and manage CI relationships and service maps for applications and infrastructure services.
– Establish integration between ServiceNow and third-party monitoring tools and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
– Customize the ServiceNow platform by utilizing Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and Workflows.
• *Required Skills:**
– Strong experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Discovery and CMDB.
– Proficiency in configuring MID Servers, Discovery patterns, probes, and sensors.
– Knowledge of CSDM (Common Service Data Model) and CMDB data modeling.
– Familiarity with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Glide API).
– Experience in REST/SOAP integrations and IntegrationHub.
– Understanding of network protocols such as SNMP, SSH, WMI, and HTTP used in discovery.
– Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• *Preferred Skills:**
– Experience with Service Mapping or Event Management.
– Integration with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, SCOM, Nagios.
– Knowledge of cloud discovery in AWS, Azure, GCP.
– Previous exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
– Familiarity with ITIL processes.
