Job Title: IT Security Analyst – ServiceNow & IAM (Senior Level)
Location: Remote (Hybrid if local to Northern Virginia)
Duration: Long-term contract with potential to convert
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior IT Security Analyst with deep expertise in ServiceNow platform administration and Identity & Access Management (IAM) to support high‑security enterprise environments. This role will serve as a subject matter expert across ServiceNow security and SAP-based identity services, ensuring compliance, governance, and secure system integrations.
The ideal candidate has experience working in regulated or government-aligned environments and is comfortable owning IAM workflows end to end.
Key Responsibilities
• ServiceNow Platform Administration
• Administer and maintain ServiceNow instances (cloud and self‑hosted)
• Manage Update Sets, configuration migrations, instance clones, and upgrades
• Oversee users, roles, and group administration aligned with security best practices
• Support onboarding for secure external API integrations (setup only)
• Maintain CMDB data integrity and platform compliance
• Provide Level 2/3 support for access, configuration, and platform performance
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation
Identity & Access Management (Primary Focus)
• Own integrations between ServiceNow and centralized identity platforms
• Administer user lifecycle processes: onboarding, changes, and deprovisioning
• Implement and enforce RBAC and least‑privilege access models
• Configure SSO and identity federation (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
• Lead access reviews, certifications, and audit activities
• Monitor and remediate access risks and security gaps
• Support incident response related to identity and access controls
• Act as the go‑to expert for IAM and ServiceNow security
Required Qualifications
• 3–7 years of ServiceNow administration experience
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required)
• Hands-on experience managing self‑hosted ServiceNow instances
• 3+ years of IAM experience, including identity federation and SSO
• Strong understanding of user lifecycle management and RBAC
• Experience working in high‑security or regulated environments
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and governance standards
• Strong documentation, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills
