Title: ServiceNow Sr Tester

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Test Strategy & Framework
• Define and own a high-level testing vision and framework applicable across all ServiceNow data ingestion /custom app developments.
• Establish and maintain standards, best practices, and guidelines for testing data migration and integration processes.
• Enable Test Leads to tailor test plans for specific project needs while ensuring program-wide consistency.

Oversight, Mentorship & Support
• Mentor and advise Test Leads across individual projects, providing guidance on complex testing challenges.
• Oversee adherence to established test strategies and escalate risks or issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

Data Accuracy, Validation & Performance
• Design test approaches to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity from source systems to ServiceNow CMDB.
• Implement both automated and manual validation techniques for large-scale data sets.
• Develop and execute performance testing plans to assess ingestion speed, load capacity, and scheduling efficiency.
• Recommend optimal ingestion schedules and batch sizes based on test results.

Defect Management & Process Improvement
• Develop strategies for proactive defect identification, categorization, and reduction.
• Utilize data-driven analysis to identify root causes and recommend process improvements.

ServiceNow ATF Integration & Automation
• Assess ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) capabilities and identify opportunities for automated testing.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow developers to integrate ATF into the broader testing strategy.

Governance, Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure development teams adhere to Data Ingestion Guidelines and governance standards.
• Monitor compliance and provide actionable feedback or corrective measures.
• Establish standardized templates for Test Plan Documents, ensuring consistent structure and content across projects.

Framework, Tooling & Traceability
• Select and implement appropriate testing tools to support data validation and performance testing at scale.
• Develop and maintain traceability strategies linking requirements, user stories, and test cases for audit readiness and compliance.

Testing Methodology & UAT
• Define strategies for balancing manual and automated testing to optimize coverage and efficiency.
• Develop high-level User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, collaborating with business stakeholders to define scope, roles, responsibilities, and success criteria.

KPI Definition, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Define program-level KPIs to measure testing effectiveness, defect reduction, automation coverage, and quality.
• Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track progress against KPIs.
• Continuously refine testing strategies based on lessons learned and evolving project needs.
• Strong experience with data migration/integration testing, preferably involving legacy systems and modern platforms.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, performance testing, and defect management.
• Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
• Experience with test management tools and reporting dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications:
• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist).
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with ITSM and ITOM modules in ServiceNow.
