Senior ServiceNow Architect

Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise service management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in solution architecture, system design, and system architecture, with a strong background in IT systems engineering and cloud platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of integrating complex systems within a service-oriented architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
• Lead the architecture and design of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise needs and best practices.
• Develop comprehensive solution architectures leveraging Service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles, integrating with platforms such as Pegasystems, AWS, and other cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, workflows, and integrations utilizing RESTful APIs, Microservices, and APIs.
• Oversee system administration tasks, including managing Linux, Windows, and virtualization environments such as VMware and Kubernetes.
• Implement security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, RBAC, and other information security measures to safeguard data integrity and privacy.
• Design scalable database solutions using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server; optimize performance through load balancing and efficient query tuning.
• Develop automation scripts using languages such as Python, Shell Scripting, Bash (Unix shell), and utilize tools like Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC methodologies, including Agile practices, DevOps principles, and system management best practices.
• Provide technical leadership for system integration projects involving system architecture, system design, virtualization, and cloud deployment strategies on platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Mentor team members on emerging technologies such as Kubernetes, NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra), and modern security frameworks.

Requirements
• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions within a ServiceNow environment or similar platforms.
• Strong expertise in solution architecture, system architecture, and system design across diverse IT environments.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Python, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Bash, and familiarity with scripting for automation purposes.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols, and computer networking fundamentals.
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; expertise in database optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile practices.
• Strong background in information security principles—implementing RBAC policies, firewall configurations, encryption standards—and maintaining compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
