Job Title: Accounting Analyst
Location: Hybrid -Honolulu, HI (1-3 days per week onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
About the Role:
Our healthcare client is seeking an Accountant Analyst to join their team in Honolulu. This role will focus on improving and streamlining the company’s accrual process to make it more efficient and easier to manage. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and enhance the current accrual process to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Identify and implement process improvements and simplifications
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper financial reporting and compliance
• Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and reports
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accruals and general ledger processes
• Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
