Job title: Senior ServiceNow Engineer / Developer
Experience Level: 5–7 Years
Location: Reston, VA (Onsite role)
Position Overview:
FedTec is seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Engineer/Developer who will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions to meet enterprise IT service management, automation, and workflow optimization objectives. The position requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow platform capabilities, proven experience implementing multiple ServiceNow modules, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and secure ServiceNow applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, , GRC, CMDB, Discovery, and Service Portal.
• Implement custom applications, integrations, and workflows within the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system configurations.
• Develop UI policies, client scripts, business rules, catalog items, and notifications aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems (e.g., Active Directory, Azure, AWS, Jira, LDAP, SCCM, SolarWinds, etc.) using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Maintain and optimize the CMDB ensuring accurate data integrity and relationship mapping.
• Implement GRC/IRM frameworks including Policy & Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Management, Vendor Risk, and Authority Documents integration.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Participate in ServiceNow upgrades and patching cycles, ensuring compatibility and regression testing.
• Implement and maintain access controls, ACLs, and security configurations in accordance with organizational policies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and user guides for implemented solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing ServiceNow development standards and governance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
• Proven experience in at least two or more ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, ITBM, GRC).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Service Portal design, UI/UX customization, and Workflow automation.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
