Overview
We are seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Senior Software Asset Management Consultant to join a high-performing Service Delivery team. This is a senior role suited to a SAM expert with significant hands-on experience delivering large-scale SAM engagements and ServiceNow SAM Pro implementations across enterprise environments.
The successful candidate will lead complex SAM projects, act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and provide thought leadership both externally (client delivery) and internally (methodology and team development).
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver complex ServiceNow SAM Pro implementations and operational services.
• Manage software audits and provide expert audit defense support for major publishers.
• Create and deliver Effective License Positions (ELPs) for tier 1 and complex tier 2 vendors.
• Guide senior client stakeholders on SAM maturity, processes, and licensing strategy.
• Develop risk mitigation and optimization plans aligned to business strategy.
• Maintain ownership of multiple project workstreams from scope through delivery.
• Support the development of internal delivery methodologies and process improvements.
• Mentor and upskill junior consultants within the team.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a consultant in the Software Asset Management field.
• Proven ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and operational delivery experience.
• Experience supporting audit defense engagements.
• In-depth licensing knowledge of at least one tier 1 vendor (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, IBM).
• Strong multi-vendor licensing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end ELPs and maturity assessments.
• Skilled at creating and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
• Solid commercial awareness and consultancy approach.
Desirable Qualifications
• ServiceNow Certifications: CIS – Software Asset Management, System Administrator.
• ITIL v3 certification.
• Experience in training or mentoring others.
