Job Description

Role : ServiceNow ITSM Developer

Required Technical Skill Set : ServiceNow, ITSM Modules, Java/Javascript

Desired Experience Range : 4 – 8 Years

Location of Requirement : Kolkata, India.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have Technical Competency :
• Experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer and Implementing Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, or Service Catalog, Mobile App, Virtual Agent
• Ability to configure ServiceNow ITSM applications in alignment with approved design plans
• Knowledge of unit testing, system integration testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, or any client-specific testing
• Experience with developing ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, XML, HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with SQL query creation and LDAP Query for connecting to and pulling data from Oracle, MySQL databases and AD respectively
• Worked with and understands the value in creating repeatable processes to design development, test, staging and production environments that are reliable with high availability
• Must be ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
• Should possess knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodology
• Basic knowledge with ITIL/industry standards
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Behavioral competency
• Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences (verbal and written)
• Excellent Interpersonal skills to work with the project team members collaboratevily
• Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration, and retrospectives)

Good-to-Have
• ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification
• ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification
• Java developer certification

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
• Understand the given application requirements (or User Stories)
• Understand and follow the Best Practices and Standards/Guidelines for development
• Participate in the Daily stand-up meetings and understand the changes proposed on the requirements / user stories
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks in an effective manner, meeting designated standards and criteria
• Responsible for the code quality of assigned tasks
• Perform Unit Testing and do documentation as required
• Provide support to the users during the User Acceptance Testing
• Provide any required training to the users on the user stories
